A versatile meeting conference facility.
Multifunctional and modern, the Irving K. Barber Learning Centre is UBC's newest library and study facility. It features meeting rooms, classrooms and seminar rooms equipped for groups of up to 110, and a lecture hall for larger groups of up to 150. Cafeteria and outdoor spaces are also available for breakouts or informal receptions.
The Irving K. Barber Learning Centre is a study and seminar hub, and houses UBC's rare books and special collections as well as an expanding collection of more than 2 million volumes. The building incorporates material from the historical Main Library into its design and infrastructure, as well as environmentally sustainable features such as a radiant in-slab heating and cooling system.
